The first few Fortnite game matches can feel rough. You land, grab random loot, and get eliminated before you know what happened. The biggest mistake is trying to fight everyone too early. Learn the map first, collect solid gear, and pick your battles. Once you get comfortable with the movement and weapons, the game becomes much more rewarding.
Fortnite free never feels the same for long. Every season adds something new, and if you get tired of Battle Royale, you can jump into LEGO Fortnite, Festival, or Rocket Racing without leaving the game. It's easy to pick up, challenging to master, and even after hundreds of matches, there's always another reason to play.
One mistake I kept making was chasing every player I tagged. More than once, I knocked someone's shield, pushed without checking the area, and ran straight into their teammate waiting behind a wall or inside a nearby building. I usually ended up back in the lobby with better loot than the other team - but no win.
After enough matches, I stopped treating every fight like I had to finish it. If an enemy ran into the storm or another squad showed up, I'd back off, heal, and rotate instead. I started reaching the final circles much more often. Fortnite rewards good decisions just as much as good aim, and that was probably the biggest lesson I learned.
